Golden Goose shoes
A favorite brand of my mother’s, too much resembles the Balenciaga shirt on a shirt: overpriced, overhyped, and overdone. Grazing the halls of our own Ensworth High School, the pre-dirtied, name-branded, low-top shoes come in around $600 and look like, as someone with personal experience, something I’d buy from Goodwill. A pair of used Chuck All-Stars comes to mind.
2. Bowl Cuts
Very few can pull this haircut off, but I have become aware that it is actually the only haircut some can wear. Take Hunter Haney for example, a man synonymous with kindness and a hearty, straight bowl cut. “I've tried it all,” says Haney. “But the bowl-cut just looks the best. The hair does what it wants” (Haney).
3. Mullets
I respect a good mullet. As mirrored by celebrities like Joseph Quinn (known for his role in Stranger Things as Eddie Mundson) and Brad Pitt, the mullet has rickasheyed into pop culture, abundant at shopping malls and the halls of Ensworth High School. However, some are straight “no”s. If you like, just tread cautiously and find a good hairstylist.
