Football Wrap-Up

The 2022 Ensworth varsity football season has come to a close. The varsity football team ended the regular season with a record of 7-3.

The team earned a first-round bye, which meant they immediately advanced into the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, they faced off against McCallie at home. The game may have ended as a 28-38 loss for Ensworth, but the crowd and cheerleaders remained excited throughout the game.

The football team faced four tough losses during the season. These losses were to Baylor, Montgomery Bell Academy, Brentwood Academy, and McCallie. That being said, the team worked hard throughout the entire season. Even though the season ended in a loss, the team still enjoyed many victories. Their hard work showed in their wins against Evangelical Christian School, Christian Brothers, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, Memphis University School, St. Benedict, Antioch, and Briarcrest.

The school is grateful for the team's dedication, especially from the seniors. Thank you to Drew Bonner, Silas Bosch, Brandon Bouie, Martez Cooksey, Caleb Dorris, Paulos Estifanos, Christian Grimes, Taylor Haas, Dylan Hudson, Russell Jankowski, Reed Klements, Kemmanual Liggett, Levi Moore, Braylnn Morris, Shamar Porter, DuJuan Sharp, Mark Smith, and Sammy Taylor for your hard work and dedication put into the Ensworth football team.
