Scientology is a religious movement that has grown in popularity in the U.S. Many of us hear about it, but what really is this fascination of so many?
Described as a religion created by author L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology has a set of beliefs that include the following ideals:
All humans are immortal at the core
Try to keep people aligned with their full identity
People have hidden abilities that are not yet realized
Like confession, Scientologists have auditing (working with a superficial person to find the engram ((mental images which are not readily available yet to a person))
This practice is mainly about trying to use "science" in order to feel falsely protected. Scientology is surprisingly popular with an estimated 100,000 followers in the United States. Celebrities like Nancy Cartwright and Tom Cruise have also joined the so-called religion. In fact, there is a Scientology Church here in Nashville, and I’ll go ahead and let you know that I don’t recommend visiting. 0/10.
