Tiger Year in Review 22'-23'

Hanna Hyche, '25

Ensworth is such an amazing uplifting community! This year added another great one for the books! An email was sent out to see the highlights of the year. This year we made history, and we smiled a lot. Events were happening daily, between sports games, Encore concerts, plays, and clubs. No matter what, there was always something for you to be doing, and what is so special about Ensworth is the way the community always shows up. The community we have is beautiful, and the togetherness is unmatchable, unlike some schools.

In the google form, we asked a series of questions about “A Year In Review.” The responses were phenomenal. The first question on the form was, “What is your favorite memory of the school year?” A very common response was football games, and WOW, the games really are an essential way to get our community together. There's something for everyone at these football games: the players, crowd, cheerleader, dancers, and the student section. Another very common response for the favorite memory of the year was the spirit week. We had Masters Day, TaCkY tourist, profession, and Adam Sandler.

Another question asked on the google form was, “What is your favorite after school event you have been to this school year?” Yet again another main answer was the football games. The football games during the fall are really just incomparable, and the tailgates before really bring all of us together to rep in orange and black. More specifically, the BA game was emphasized a lot claiming that the “hypeness” of the crowd made the game. The dance concert was also featured many times; what a night that was! There were over 30 artfully amazing dances in the evening show that left the crowd speechless. Huddle was also highlighted many times, which is a group that meets on Mondays to share their faith.

The last question asked was, “What was your favorite Tiger House competition?” We had so many fun competitions this year between Integrity, Morality, Truth, and Vitality. The taste testing was mentioned many times; it was a comical experience, and the crowd was scared for the tasters. The belly flop competition was mentioned many times, which isn’t surprising, since that was a very fun time for the whole school to see the grand competition!

As we can see, this year was great to be repping orange and black! Once a Tiger always a Tiger! Year 2022-2023 is in the books now, so let’s have an unforgettable and relaxing summer!
