With the days flying by, Ensworth students just have to get over the final hurdle of exams before summer break begins. The summer of 2024 has multiple music festivals taking place all over the country, each featuring many fan-favorite singers. With Gov Ball in New York City and Hinterland in Iowa, these festivals can be found all over. Read further to find out more.
Gov Ball
If your favorite singers are Post Malone, 21 Savage, or SZA, The Governors Ball, or “Gov Ball”, is the perfect musical festival for you. From June 7th to 9th at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York, this festival will take place. Singers of all sorts of fame, Sexyy Red, Yung Gravy, Reneé Rapp, and many more, will be performing. 3-day general admission tickets start at $310 at presale, but will most likely continue rising. Bonnaroo
If you are in town from June 13th to 16th and willing to take a short one-hour drive to Manchester, TN, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival awaits you. With artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, and Cigarettes After Sex, all genres of music are covered. 4-day general admission tickets are a little pricey at $420, but the festival is worth it. If you’re willing to pay a little more, Ga+, VIP, and Platinum packages can be purchased as well. This festival is a great option for those who will be in town this summer!
Hinterland
All the way in Saint Charles, Iowa from August 2nd to 4th, the Hinterland Music Festival will be booming. Artists Hozier, Noah Kahan, and Lizzy McAlpine will be performing along with other smaller artists. The presale price for 3-day general admission tickets are a smaller fee than the other festivals, ranging from $250 to $300. This festival is perfect for teenagers and is only a non-stop 1 hour and 45 minute flight, if you are willing to take the trip!
Broccoli City Festival:
The shortest of these festivals, Broccoli City Music Festival, takes place on July 27th and July 28th this summer. In Audi Field, Washington DC, headliners Megan Thee Stallion, Gunna, and Party Next Door will be performing. They will be accompanied by other artists such as Lil Yachty and Desi Banks and are guaranteed to provide a good show. Not only will the festival be good, but the location is a prime spot to visit. With much to do at both the festival and in the city, a good time is promised. Only $225 covering both days, this music festival is a great option!
